Department of English

The Department of was established in 2010 as undergraduate department.

The vision of the Department is to help the students become worthy scholars endowed with linguistic skills, creative and critical talents in literature and the ability to face the challenges in life.

The Department aims at providing the students opportunities and facilities to learn English language and get training in reading, understanding and appreciation of literature in English and develop a wholesome personality. 

Bridge Course

Bridge Course is a characteristic feature of the Department of English. It is conducted for 5 days before the commencement of the regular classes in the academic year.

The key objectives of Bridge Course are:

§  To bridge the gap between school and collegiate education

§  To meet the students  communicative requirements

§  To prepare the students for a classroom atmosphere in which English is the medium of instruction
